This is not an introduction to baijiu.
This is a reference point.

Luzhou Laojiao Zisha Daqu stands firmly in the heart of Sichuan’s strong-aroma tradition, built on centuries-old mud pits, time-tested Daqu fermentation, and the unmistakable authority of one of China’s most historic distilleries.

The aroma is deep and assured — ripe grain, fermented fruit, gentle earthiness, and a savoury undertone that speaks of long fermentation and patient ageing. On the palate, it’s powerful yet controlled: rich, layered, and structured, with sweetness and umami moving in balance rather than competition. The finish is long, warming, and resolutely traditional.

Housed in its iconic purple clay (zisha) vessel, this is baijiu that respects time — both in how it’s made and how it’s enjoyed.

This is a bottle for the centre of the table.
For serious meals, serious toasts, and people who already know why they’re here.

Serve neat. Pour with intention. Drink with respect.
