Explore six sought-after Japanese whiskies from Kanosuke, Ichiro’s Malt, Yuza, Ikawa, Akkeshi and Chichibu in a guided tasting hosted by George Leung of Casa De Vinos. This intimate evening also introduces Tokyo’s iconic Hoppy Boilermaker culture, combining rare drams, distillery stories and Japanese drinking tradition at Sessions Box Hill. Sake × Jazz Vol.13 — Live Studio Ghibli Music
Step into a Studio Ghibli dream at Sessions Box Hill with live jazz, curated sake, a Ghibli-inspired cocktail and bespoke canapés. Meet the Maker: A Night of Gin, Cocktails & Tales from the Still
Thursday, June 18, 7:00pm–8:30pm. Limited seats — book via Eventbrite. Meet Amy and Gavin Shaw, the makers behind HM Gin, for a guided night of gin, cocktails and stories from the still. Enjoy a Pinot & Tonic on arrival, a featured Spicy Margarita, five HM Gin tastings and charcuterie. Across the evening, Amy and Gavin will share the ideas, ingredients and stories behind their award-winning gins, from chai spice to chilli and Pinot Noir-inspired expressions. A relaxed tasting night for gin lovers, cocktail drinkers and anyone curious about local spirits.
FROM RICE TO VINE: ONE MAKER, TWO WORLDS
Join Matt Froude of Municipal Wine & Sake for a guided tasting of 7 sake and wines exploring the shared language between two worlds. Across the evening, Matt will take guests through fermentation, texture, structure and expression of place — showing how sake and wine often speak more alike than most people realise. Featuring Love Mountain Sake, Snow Mountain Sake, Savagnin, Pinot Gris, Tempranillo and Flor Savagnin, this one-night event offers a rare chance to experience both vineyard and kura through the eyes of one of Australia’s few producers working seriously across both crafts.
