Koshu Koume Plum Wine 10% 500mL
Koshu Koume Plum Wine is a refined Japanese umeshu crafted from locally grown Koshu ume plums, celebrated for their delicate aroma and gentle acidity. This plum wine offers an intriguing balance of sweet fruit and bright acidity, making it refreshingly different from typical dessert wines.
Produced by Morita Shuzo in Yamanashi Prefecture, this umeshu showcases the region's famous plums. Aged in barrels once used for Yamazaki Distillery’s smoked whisky, it marries the tartness of ume with deep, woody notes.
The palate delivers notes of ripe plums and apricots with subtle honey undertones, all balanced by a pleasant tanginess. Its mildly carbonated texture adds a novel and pleasant experience to each sip.
With an ABV of 10%, it’s versatile enough to enjoy straight or mixed with soda for a refreshing highball.
