πΆSome sake is hard to find.
Juyondai is hard to find on purpose.
Brewed by Takagi Shuzo in Murayama, Yamagata β a brewery founded in 1615, whose Juyondai label was created in 1994 by the fifteenth-generation owner and named in honour of his father, the fourteenth. Juyondai broke the prevailing orthodoxy of light, restrained sake and replaced it with fruit, sweetness and length, and the brand has been chased ever since. Ryu no Otoshigo sits in the junmai daiginjo tier.
Aroma: Melon and white flowers over soft ripe fruit.
Palate: Light-bodied and precise β clean sweetness, no weight wasted.
Finish: Refined, fading slowly and cleanly.
This is not a sake built to overwhelm you.
It's for drinkers who want detail over power β where Yamagata rice meets Japan's most chased label.
Serve well chilled in a wine glass. Sashimi and delicate seafood.
Allocated at the brewery. Rarely on a shelf for long.
