🥃Some cognacs are built on a single vintage.
Chanteloup XXO is built on 450 of them.
Blended by cellar master Christophe Valtaud from 450 eaux-de-vie — the youngest fourteen years old, the oldest reaching seventy years in French oak — drawn from four of Cognac's finest crus: Borderies, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois. It takes its name from Château de Chanteloup, the spiritual home of Maison Martell. XXO is Cognac's newest classification, requiring a minimum of fourteen years.
Aroma: Candied fruit, honey and sweet spice over old oak.
Palate: Rich and rounded — dried fruit, warm spice, layer after layer.
Finish: Very long, oak and soft spice holding on.
This is not a cognac built for mixing.
It's for slow drinking — where Martell's Borderies signature meets seven decades of patience.
Serve neat in a tulip glass at room temperature. Give it time in the glass.
A house statement bottle from one of Cognac's oldest maisons.
