This sake is a nod to tradition with a modern twist, featuring the ancient Bodaimoto method that brings a slight earthiness and sourness to the profile.
Produced in Okayama by Gozenshu, this nigori sake is crafted from Omachi rice polished to 65%. Its lightly cloudy appearance is due to the partial filtration, leaving traces of rice lees that enhance its character.
The palate offers a zesty, lively flavour with a slightly chewy texture, complemented by a Calpis-like tang and a hint of green apple. It finishes smooth and clean, making it a distinctive choice for sake enthusiasts.
With a robust yet approachable nature, it's perfect for sipping slowly or pairing with food.
