Brewed by Aramasa Shuzo (新政酒造) in Akita Prefecture, Aramasa No.6 S-Type (新政 6號 S-TYPE) is part of the cult-favourite No.6 series, celebrated for its pioneering use of the Kyokai No.6 yeast strain — originally discovered by Aramasa in 1930 and still defining their signature style of clean, lively, and elegant sake.
The S-Type represents the Standard edition in the No.6 lineup — balanced, bright, and beautifully structured. Brewed using the Kimoto method with locally grown Akita rice and soft mountain water, it opens with aromas of green apple, muscat, and pear, followed by a silky, effervescent mouthfeel and a refreshing, dry finish.
