🍺 This is not a quiet stout. Mister Miso is rich, dark and deliberately indulgent — a full-bodied imperial stout that pushes deep chocolate flavour forward, then gives it a twist with miso and vanilla for extra savoury depth and softness. It lands somewhere between dessert beer and proper winter sipper, with enough weight to feel serious and enough character to stand out immediately.

Brewed by 8 Wired in New Zealand, this release is built on a complex malt bill with plenty of chocolate and roasted malt, then layered with miso paste, vanilla, and additional chocolate from roasted cocoa husks. That combination gives it more than just sweetness — it adds a rounder, more velvety texture and a subtle umami edge that keeps the beer interesting rather than one-note.

The palate is dense, smooth and dessert-like, with chocolate doing most of the talking. Coffee roast, dark malt and soft vanilla carry it through, while the miso brings a savoury touch that stops the whole thing from feeling too obvious. At 10% ABV, this is built for slow sipping, colder nights and stout drinkers who want something richer than standard craft fridge fare.
