🍺 Dark, rich and unapologetically indulgent, this is stout with full dessert energy. 8 Wired Affogato takes the brewery’s imperial stout base and pushes it into affogato territory with lactose, coffee and vanilla, landing somewhere between after-dinner beer and full-blown treat in a can.

Brewed by 8 Wired in New Zealand, this imperial stout is built around roasted coffee and chocolate malt depth, then rounded out with lactose and vanilla for a softer, creamier edge. It keeps the brewery’s bold stout backbone, but adds enough sweetness and texture to make the whole thing feel plush rather than aggressive.

The profile is thick, dark and layered. Coffee leads, chocolate follows, and the vanilla-lactose combo smooths it out with that affogato-like feel without flattening the stout underneath. At 10% ABV, this is very much a slow one — rich enough for sipping, strong enough to share, and bold enough to stand out in the craft fridge straight away.

• Strong pick for stout drinkers who want something richer and sweeter
• A standout single-can fridge option with real shelf presence

How to Serve

Serve it cold but not straight-from-freezer cold — you want the coffee, chocolate and vanilla to open up properly. Best in a stemmed beer glass or small tulip.

Food Pairing

• Tiramisu
• Chocolate brownie
• Vanilla ice cream
• Salted nuts for contrast

Pour it slow. Let the stout do the heavy lifting.
